Frequently asked questions
Is the video uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs on your device with WebAssembly, and the file never leaves the browser.
Will the quality drop?
Any compression removes some information, but at 70% quality and above the difference is hard to see in most clips. Compare the result before you download it.
Does it handle 4K and 120 fps?
Yes. You can keep or lower the resolution and frame rate; the tool never upscales or adds frames. Long 4K files need a lot of time and memory, so trimming helps.
Is the estimated size accurate?
It's an estimate based on resolution, frame rate and duration. The real size depends on how complex the scenes are, and it shows exactly once compression finishes.
