Good to know
- On TikTok the output's length is ×2, or ×6 for clips at 110 fps and above. That is expected.
- Platforms re-encode every clip after upload, and this tool doesn't add new detail; it only avoids extra loss on your side.
- The limit is 1 GB per file; split larger clips in two.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the file length multiply on TikTok?
That's the frame-rate handling: each frame's timestamp is multiplied by 2, or by 6 for clips at 110 fps and above, so TikTok reads the file as 30 fps or less and drops no frames, while every original frame is still there. The video and audio data aren't touched.
Does quality drop?
No. Video and audio are copied as they are and the file size stays about the same. What a platform does after upload is outside the tool's control.
Why does MP4 work best?
Direct copy depends on the source codec, and some codecs aren't accepted inside an MP4 container. Try an MP4 or MOV clip if you see an error.
What about very large files?
The browser keeps the file in memory while it works, so the limit here is 1 GB. For larger files, split the clip in two.
